TOGETHER WE CAN.

Helping individuals reintegrate back into meaningful roles in their lives.

OUR APPROACH

Psychiatric Rehabilitation has been shown to reduce reliance on a higher level of care and improve individuals’ abilities to function within their communities. This approach supports persons in their mental health recovery through emphasizing self-actualization and empowerment, increasing autonomy, skill-building, promoting personal responsibility, and helping individuals to regain control of their lives. We want to see our participants strengthen and reclaim meaningful roles in their lives and as having the ability to do so.

At Achieve, we also believe in The Office of Developmental Programs’ mission “to support Pennsylvanian’s with developmental disabilities to achieve greater independence, choice, and opportunity in their lives” (The Office of Developmental Programs. (2016). My ODP Mission.  https://myodp.org/). As a provider of ID/A services we are committed to this mission and structure our services in a way that places the individual in charge of their own life. What matters to our participants and their families is what matters to us.

INDIVIDUALIZED

Our programs are person-centered, strengths-based, and designed to empower and encourage self-determination. We assess, plan, and work in collaboration with our participants to develop social, learning, living, and employment skills. Our focus is on meeting our participants where they are at in their mental health recovery journeys. We help them to develop and strengthen natural supports and other protective factors. We work together with our participants and their supports to meet their unique needs and help them achieve their goals.
